01.11.2019. “Introduction of the national currency – manat allowed creating favourable conditions for the sustainable growth of the national economy, adopting the national monetary policy. The banking system, a key segment of the national economy, has turned into one of its dynamically developing areas”, says President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressing the people of Turkmenistan on occasion of the 26th anniversary of manat.
The state policy pays significant attention to the further rise the level of reliability of the banking sphere. Ensuring its sustainable development through the introduction of digital technologies, increasing the effectiveness of the money and risk management system, developing corporate governance, improving the business environment, budget growth and profitability are among the strategic tasks for the future.

28.10.2019. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference working session with participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of agricultural complex, hyakims of Ashgabat and the regions.
The agenda included aspects of realization of the strategy of social and economic development of the capital and regions, seasonal agricultural work as well as preparation to the Harvest Festival.
Opening video conference working session, the Head of the State called Hyakim of AshgabatSh. Durdiliyev who reported on the situation in the capital, measures for its further development, creation of green zones, rates of construction works of various facilities.
Having listened to the report, the President expressed his discontent with activity of city and etrap administrations. The Head of the State has focused attention of the Hyakim of the necessity of strict order and maintenance of cleanness in the city, modernization of infrastructure and improvement of decoration of the capital.

26.10.2019. 55 transactions have been registered at the trades of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
For foreign currency, brokers from the Russian Federation, Great Britain, United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Malta, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have purchased gasoline, hydro treated diesel fuel, lighting kerosene, petroleum bitumen, base oil, furnace oil produced at Turkmenbashy Refinery Complex. Petroleum bitumen (Seydi Refinery) and carbamide (OJSV Turkmensenagat Export – Import) were the subjects of bargain of business circles from Uzbekistan and other countries. Businessmen from UAE have also bought large-size plastic containers.
In addition, cotton yarn has been sold for foreign currency to USA, UAE< Turkey, China, Ireland. Total amount of transactions exceeded 34,447,000 US dollars.
For local currency, entrepreneurs from Russia, Great Britain, UAE, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan and Armenia have bought cotton yarn to the amount of around 25,000,000 manats.
For internal market, local entrepreneurs have procured cotton fibre to the amount of more than 1,417,000 manats.

On October 27, 2019, meetings were held between the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, who arrived in the capital of Turkmenistan on an official visit.
At the beginning of the negotiations, welcoming the guest, the President of Turkmenistan thanked the head of the Malaysian government for accepting the invitation. The talks covered a wide range of bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest. Confirming the common desire to maintain close contacts at a high level, to deepen cooperation in all areas, the parties paid special attention to the tasks of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Malaysia in the fields of politics, economy, trade, energy, technology, logistics, industry and in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
Then negotiations continued in the “Ak altyn” Hall in an expanded format - with the participation of the members of official delegations of the two countries. During friendly and active negotiations, the parties, having discussed a wide range of Turkmen-Malaysian relations, drew attention to the prospects for cooperation. Thanking the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the warm and cordial welcome, the distinguished guest emphasized that he was very pleased to have the opportunity to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan and meet with the Turkmen leader.
At the end of the expanded talks in the “Mermer” Hall, the leaders of the two states adopted a package of bilateral documents. Then, the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Malaysia addressed the media representatives.
After that, in the Banquet Hall of the “Oguzkent” Hotel in honor of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the President of Turkmenistan gave an official dinner at which masters of culture and arts of Turkmenistan gave a concert.


26.10.2019. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular video conference working session of the Cabinet of Ministers. The agenda of the session included current issues of the state life.
Opening the session, Turkmen leader gave floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Foreign Minister R. Meredov who reported on preparation to official visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Turkmenistan.
It was mentioned that diplomatic relations between two countries have been established on May 17, 1992. For all these years, Turkmen – Malaysian cooperation has been dynamically developed. As for today, regulatory and legal framework of the partnership includes 28 documents, which have been signed on interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental levels.
Five high-level visits were made between Turkmenistan and Malaysia since 2007. Both countries demonstrates willingness to further improvement of beneficial relations in trade and economic sphere, transport and industrial complex, in high technology field and other perspective directions. Fuel and energy sector is an important direction of interstate cooperation where big Malaysian company Petronas is an old business partner of our country.
