On September 2, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Ejima Kiyoshi, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit.
During the meeting, the head of the Turkmen state and the representative of Japan discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
On the same day the meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Turkmen part of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee on Economic Cooperation Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the State Minister of Japan Ejima Kiyoshi The meeting was dedicated to the prospects of the Turkmen-Japanese cooperation based on the principles of trust and mutual respect.
Japan is one of the key partners of Turkmenistan in the field of investment; a number of Japanese companies are actively cooperating with the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan. During the meeting the parties stressed the importance of the Turkmen-Japanese Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation.
