On November 26-27, 2018, the 3rd preparatory meeting of the international exhibition «EXPO 2020» took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
A delegation of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan participated in the conference, as well as held bilateral meeting with the Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, General Commissioner of the «EXPO 2020» International Exhibition Rim Al Hashimi.
During the meeting, the parties agreed on close cooperation during the preparatory work and during the «EXPO 2020» exhibition, and also discussed topical issues of successful participation in the exhibition.
Then, for the participants of the international meeting a familiarization visit with the venue of the exhibition «EXPO 2020» was organized.
The exhibition «EXPO 2020», which is held for the first time in the region of the Middle East and Africa, will continue from October 2020 to April 2021 and more than 25 million tourists are expected to attend within 6 months. More than 190 states are planned to participate at the international exhibition to be held under the slogan «Connecting minds, creating the future».

21.11.2018. Last day of International Conference OGT 2018 was opened by the session dedicated to priority directions and forecasts of development of petrochemical industry as well as to the world trends of market development. Representatives of foreign oil, gas and service companies, big competent organizations, different Government structures, ministries and departments from Russia, USA, Japan, UK, Germany, China, France, UAE, Malaysia and other European, Asian, Middle East and CIS countries as well as national and foreign mass media took part in the forum.
It was mentioned that importance of natural gas as the most environmentally friendly source of energy became more significant in the last decades. Undoubtedly, natural gas and petrochemical industry will play the same role in the world economy and energy of XXI century as oil and oil products played in the last century.in this context, the participants of the forum focused on the development of gas processing facilities in Turkmenistan, which are aimed at high quality and export oriented production.
Petrochemical complex for production of polyethylene and polypropylene was put into operation in Kiyanly, Balkan velayat in October this year with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In addition, facilities for production of carbamide, potassium fertilizers, sulphuric acid have been launched in Turkmenistan. The construction of the plant for production of fuel from natural gas based on Japanese GTL technology is at the final stage.

20.11.2018. XXIII International Exhibition and Conference «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2018» (OGT 2018) organized by the State Concern Turkmenneft and Trade and Industrial Chamber has started work in the capital.
Representative composition of the participants indicates growing interest of international business community to the achievement of modern Turkmenistan, which successfully implements the policy of diversification of production and export of profile production with high added value. In this context, new opportunities for establishment of beneficial partnership in fuel and energy sphere are opened, especially these days when national economy demonstrates stable growth.
Current oil and gas forum has gathered scientists and experts, representatives of Government structures and competent organizations, leading foreign fuel and energy companies and profile institutions of the country and mass media.
Colossal energy potential of Turkmenistan having the largest hydrocarbon reserves in the planet raised great attention of foreign business structures. It was also caused by transparent energy policy of our country and constructive international initiatives of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which are aimed at the provision of global energy security and was unanimously supported by the world community.

«The efficient use of the natural resources of Turkmenistan, the increase of the economic potential of the country are the key aspects of the energy policy of the state. In this regard, the development of the oil and gas industry in the years of independence has become a priority of the economic growth. The establishment of the energy resources export routes through diversification, the creation of the multi-faceted pipeline transportation systems stand as an important part of the energy policy of the state. Jointly with partners, we successfully implemented ambitious projects on the construction of large energy bridges to the east and south. They are strategically important for ensuring the global energy safety, and creating the system for the transportation of energy resources. A number of international projects testifies to the establishment of the new fuel and energy infrastructure on the Eurasian continent.

Turkmenistan delegation took part in International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference ADIPEC 2018 in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) on November 11 - 14. Bilateral meetings was organized under the forum. During the meetings, the sides exchanged the views on the main aspects of energy policy of our country, levels achieved in this sphere, work for implementation of the construction project of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas line.
UAE petroleum companies showed deep interest in the participation in large-scale project of construction of gas main. Project documentation on Turkmen part of the pipeline has been developed. All works are carried out as per the schedule. The Ministry of Construction and Architecture is the general contractor in this part.
According to the contract between the State Concern Türkmengaz and Global Pipe Company (the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) on provision of steel pipes for construction of the pipeline in Turkmen section of the TAPI, supply of required pipes has started by sea from the port of Dammam via Caspian Sea to Turkmenbashy International Sea Port. 40 million US dollars contract is financed by the Saudi Development Fund.
