22-29 january, 2018. The Belinterexpo Exhibition Enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Arab Republic of Egypt has organized the Made in Belarus exposition of Belarusian producers in the frame of the 35th International Fair of Khartoum in the Republic of Sudan.
The Belarusian exposition opening ceremony took place on January 23. Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Potupchik, Minister of Petroleum and Gas of the Republic of Sudan Abdel Rahman Osman and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt and Sudan (non-resident) Sergei Rachkov were involved in the ceremony.
The Belarusian exposition was visited by the Prime Minister of Sudan Bakri Hassan Saleh.
More than twenty companies representing machinery and equipment for agriculture, mining industry, construction, as well as household appliances and foodstuffs take part in the Made in Belarus exposition. BELAZ OJSC, Bobruiskagromash Holding, Selenergo CJSC, Trest Belsantehmontazh No. 1 OJSC, NPO Center OJSC, Atlant CJSC, Lidakhleboproduct OJSC, Smorgon Plant of Bread Production, Grodnohlebprom OJSC, and other domestic industry flagships are among the exhibitors. A number of enterprises are already working on the Sudanese market; the others intend to find business partners during the exhibition.
On January 23, the Belarusian-Sudanese business forum took place. It was organized by the Federation of Sudanese Businessmen and Employers together with the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the assistance of the Embassy of Belarus in Egypt. Representatives of 25 Belarusian and more than 50 Sudanese enterprises took part in the forum.
More than 600 companies from 33 countries partake in the International Fair of Khartoum this year. More than 150 thousand visitors are expected. It's the first time the Belarusian exposition has been presented in the frame of this exhibition, the largest in the region.
