In the hotel "President", located at the capital of the country the 34th meeting of Board of Governors of Islamic Bank of Development (IDB) has finished the work. The forum was record in a history by number of participants – the meeting in Ashgabat has collected more than 700 representatives of business-circles from 56 countries - participants. About the highest level of the meeting speaks that fact, that the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has taken part in solemn opening of the forum, as well as he has receipted the head of IDB doctor Ahmad Muhammed Ali Al-Madani. During the meeting the visitor has expressed intimate gratitude for the rendered support and assistance in carrying out of the forum.
During work of the forum have been signed the whole package of the major documents on cooperation. Among them the credit agreement on purchase of two large-capacity oil tankers, the agreement on reception of the grant for financing the research project in the field of use of alternative energy sources. Signing the Memorandum of mutual understanding also has taken place in Ashgabat between the Government of Turkmenistan and IDB about financing the civil-engineering design of railway Bereket-Etrek-Gorgan: this document has the great value for all Central Asian region.
Within the framework of 34th meeting of Board of Governors of IDB on the coast of Caspian sea the forum has taken place: "Investment opportunities of Turkmenistan during an epoch of new revival". Visitors have been acquainted with economic potential and prospects of development of the western region of Turkmenistan where the basic accent has been made to the largest project on creation of the National tourist zone "Avaza".
Furthermore under aegis of IDB seminars on actual problems have taken place. One of them, with participation of experts of Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the State Bank of Economic Trade Activities has been devoted to questions of financing. The theme of mutually advantageous cooperation has received the continuation during the seminar on the biosalt agriculture spent by the International center – which basic purpose of activity is rendering assistance to the countries with lack of water, in development of agriculture due to the integrated water resources control.
